国家非常事態を宣言しました。
COVID-19対策として、3月20日ツバル政府は国家非常事態宣言を発令しました。少なくとも14日間はこの状況が継続するとしています。
※3月末日追加情報 フィジーでの感染者発見に伴って、国家非常事態宣言を3ヶ月延長しました。
※4月4日追加情報 4月6日に来島する貨物船が当座の最終便になりそうです。首都の住人には食品交換券が配布され、計画的な食糧配布が行われています。
現在、ツバルに行く唯一の空路である、ナウソリ(フィジー)ーフナフチ(ツバル)線も閉鎖されました。今後は、フィジーから帰国を希望するツバル人用の臨時便を運行する予定があるとのことです。

Tuvalu declares State of Emergency
Funafuti, Tuvalu (20 March, 2020): Following lengthy discussions and deliberation of the National COVID-19 Task Force today, the Acting Governor General, upon advice of the Prime Minister has declared a State of Emergency for Tuvalu in light of the global aggressive COVID-19 virus, effective on Friday, 20th March, 2020.
The State of Emergency will last 14 days until further notice.
As part of the State of Emergency, there are control measures which will include restrictions to public gatherings.
Details of the State of Emergency and its conditions will be presented by the Prime Minister in his national address tomorrow morning, and further explained in a panel discussion including secretaries from the five subgroups of the task force immediately after.
The National COVID-19 Task Force has now been divided into seven teams, who will monitor the situation on a 24-hour basis.
